Upper Lachlan Council threatens Pensioner

The Upper Lachlan Shire Council has lowered itself to new lows. The General Manager and another staffer recently visited an 83 year old invalid ratepayer, threatening to sell his house in December if the did not pay $1700 in outstanding rates.

The resident recently lost his wife and his house was severely storm damaged. So much for compassion.

What do you mean "new lows'? I am a disabled pensioner who was verbally threatened by a member of ULSC planning staff over the counter. I'm not the only one who has had this problem, for pointing out that they broke a couple of their own laws under the EP Act. Actually it was my environmental lawyer who pointed it out , not me. They don't even understand their own rules, even if pointed out to them.
I saved them money by not suing them! Get rid of them I say.

How can you get rid of them? The General Manager has just had his contract renewed for another five years. Guess who his best mate is... yep John Shaw the Mayor. The ULSC needs an administrator appointed to put a broom through it.
